Teachers' Action for Health

This book consists of chapters on first aid for school environments and first aid in chronic diseases, which were developed in line with the needs analysis carried out within the scope of a European Union project. These chapters were prepared in the light of international standards and current scientific developments and created with the contributions of Bulgaria, Greece, Latvia and Lithuania and Romania project partners under the leadership and coordination of Türkiye. The book includes; General First Aid Information, Evaluation of the Scene and the Patient/Injured Person, Basic Life Support, First Aid for Fractures, Dislocations, and Sprains, First Aid in Case of Burns, Heat Stroke and Frostbite, First Aid in Case of Foreign Objects in the Eye, Ear and Nose, First Aid in Case of Poisoning, First Aid in Case of Drowning, First Aid in Case of Animal Bites and Stings, Emergency Patient/Injured Transportation Techniques, First Aid in Case of Heart Disease and Inclusive Communication, First Aid in Case of Asthma, First Aid in Case of Allergic Reaction, First Aid in Case of Diabetes, First Aid in Case of Epilepsy, First Aid in Case of Pain, First Aid in Case of Mental and Developmental Disorders. This book has been prepared to create a safe and healthy school atmosphere, to help teachers acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in case of any emergency that may occur in the school environment and to contribute to the continuous professional development of teachers.
