Suriye Devrimi - The Syrian Revolution

Esed rejiminin muhalefeti güç kullanarak bastırma yolunu seçmesi, Suriye’yi 13 yıl devam edecek bir şiddet sarmalına sürükledi. Bölgesel ve küresel güç odaklarının da denkleme dâhil olmasıyla Suriye, gerek toplumsal yapı gerekse devlet işleyişi bakımın- dan çöküşün eşiğine geldi. Rejimin kendi halkını hedef almasıyla başlayan iç savaşta yüz binlerce kişi hayatını kaybetti, 2 milyona yakın kişi de yaralandı.
